Japanese researchers have found that chlorella has excellent anti-tumor properties and can prolong the lives of animals with cancer.  At World Congress meeting in France, scientists reported the remarkable anti-tumor action of chlorella.  Another Japanese study found that chlorella could activate white blood cells to fight cancer.  Animals implanted with cancerous tumors were protected by 82% when given chlorella.  A Harvard research group found that chlorella could destroy cancer cells in animals and enhance their immune system's production of TNF, (tumor necrosis factor) and interleukin I (a virus-fighting protein).

Chronically ill people, especially those with cancer, often have depressed levels of helper cells and elevated levels of suppressor cells in their blood.  High amounts of chlorella taken orally for 6 weeks have been shown to reverse this blood ratio in some people.  Awesome anti-tumor factors have been shown in many studies.  Chlorella stimulates the body's own immune system so the body can fight cancer better.

Clean Up That Liver!

Chlorella, with its high content of chlorophyll, helps keep the main detoxification system of the body, the cytochrome P-450 detoxification enzyme system of the liver, working efficiently.  If this system gets clogged with toxins, the whole body suffers because the liver is unable to break down and eliminate incoming toxins.

In an impressive three month study of 1,000 sea-going sailors was recently conducted.  Chlorella was given to half the men, but not the other half.  The subjects given chlorella had 41% fewer colds.  Many cases of allergies, allergic rhinitis, and asthma have been reported to have been helped by chlorella.  This may be due to the ability of chlorella to induce the production of interferon, to regulate the immune system.  Many case reports have been documented of people claiming that their high blood pressure cleared after taking chlorella from 3 months to one year.  One Japanese research group stated, "It is known by experience that chlorella is effective against hypertension and fatigue."


Beware of "Junk Chlorella"

Avoid chlorella that has been stamped into little tablets.  These tablets can be "glued" together with questionable or toxic glues.  Tablets are much cheaper to make, but can degrade the ingredients up to 25% due to high heat and pressure required to stamp it.  Avoid inferior grades of chlorella.  Some companies quote great research (which used superior grades of chlorella) but then sell you an inferior grade.  Use only top grade chlorella, grown in sunlight and pure ocean water with no toxic additives.
